Experience history and natural wonders in the east!

Discover Germany's eastern regions

Our journey continues to Germany's east side. The Bastei rock formation in the Elbe Sandstone Mountains is one of Germany's most impressive natural wonders. The striking cliffs of the Bastei rise 180 meters above the Elbe valley, offering a fantastic view of the Saxon Switzerland mountains from the bridge built out of sandstone. Next is Dresden, Saxony's state capital city. Visit the Frauenkirche, the Semper Opera, and the Dresden State Art Collections. The Zittau mountains, with their traditional Upper Lusatian houses, romantic railways and castle ruins can't be missed on your tour. Other highlights of this beautiful region are the Lausatian Lakeland (Europe’s largest artificial series of lakes) and Oberwiesenthal, Germany's highest city.
